Winter Quarters at Binder Park Zoo Stay Open Year Round
Binder Park Zoo keeps most animals indoors during winter with heated barns and outdoor yards. Reptiles remain outdoors, others like Wild Africa animals, cheetahs, giraffes, bears, and zebras use heated care centers and winter quarters. Zookeepers perform teeth cleaning, blood tests, and operant conditioning, while interns rotate through areas, including vet care and diet prep.
