Visioning session sparks ideas for downtown Marshall
February meeting at Schuler's organized by the DDA and Marshall Main Street used a world cafe model to gather input for downtown's future. Teresa Durham of the Non-Profit Alliance led the event, noting a $10,000 boost for the Main Street program from the Winter Blues Festival and outlining questions focused on diverse retail, coordinated activities, pedestrian friendly spaces, stakeholder perception in 3-5 years, and marketing ideas.

Swender is an allergist immunologist at Oaklawn Hospital who returned to Marshall in 2012 to open his practice. luncheon costs $6 with reservations via Vera Hazel.
