Marshall Public Schools approves revised 2018-19 and 2019-20 General Fund and Food Service budgets plus Student Activity Budget. 2019-20 revenue projected at 30.6 million with 32.7 million in expenditures, a 2.1 million shortfall covered by Fund Balance.
The change updates the 2018-19 to 2019-20 work track for the maintenance department and sets aside $2,500 per district elementary school building for miscellaneous items.
Jones announced the Food Service Budget remains robust with a 20 percent fund balance and nearly identical revenues and expenditures for 2018-19 and 2019-20. He noted 2019-20 Capital Outlay included one school bus and one additional purchase.
The Calhoun Conservation District announces two open board seats at the Annual Meeting on September 17. Residents of Calhoun County aged eligible for four year terms may run. Nomination petitions with five signatures are due July 19, 2019, with details via phone or email and at the district website.
