Whitmer forms Task Force on Women in Sports in Michigan
Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2019 16 creating the Task Force on Women in Sports within the Department of State chaired by Secretary Jocelyn Benson. The panel will gather local and national leaders to boost opportunities for girls and women in Michigan sports and leadership roles, addressing ongoing inequalities despite Title IX.
