Fourth of July planned in Marshall features parade and barbecue
The Marshall Fourth of July celebration kicks off with the Cruise at the Fountain at Calhoun County Fair grounds on July 3 4. The Oaklawn Pet Bike and Wagon Parade registration closes July 1 with online and in person options. Participants can wear costumes, receive ribbons, and compete for top honors in pets bikes and wagons. The event includes a 10 a.m parade lineup, a 10 45 a.m flag raising by VFW 4073, a 11 a.m barbecue, and a patriotic performance by the Marshall Rotary Community Band. Volunteers aim to feed about 900 people.
