Planting trees boosts Marshall community and environment
Cheryl Vosburg, Marshall Environmental Program Coordinator, notes MACC volunteers have planted about 1200 trees in Marshall. Trees raise property values, improve air quality, reduce flooding, calm traffic, boost business revenues, deter crime, encourage walking, and strengthen neighborhood ties through planting events. MACC guides site inspections, species selection, planting and aftercare.
