Albion Names Larry Williams to Marshall School Board
Larry Williams, longtime Albion resident and director of the Albion Recreation Department, was selected July 24 to join the Marshall Public Schools Board of Education, filling the vacated seat left by Chris McComb. The appointment comes as the district expands and faces needs amid ongoing Albion Marshall relations. Williams cited his goal to serve children and reduce intercommunity animosity, noting his four years on Albion’s board and four decades coaching. The board also approved demolishing Caldwell School, awarding bids to Salenbien Trucking & Excavating and BBEK Environmental, with costs around 425000 funded by Michigan 22g grant funds.
