In a June 23 incident Oaklawn Hospital staff saved Craig Gill. He was stabilized at Oaklawn then transferred to Burgess Hospital in Kalamazoo for quad-bypass surgery. He has recovered at home and well. The writer thanks Oaklawn and Burgess for saving their son, brother, father and grandfather.
A reader cites a yellow billboard west of Marshall on Michigan Avenue asking if the Pope is the antichrist. The letter discusses biblical views from Pauls era to Luther and a prophecy of a future kingdom opposing Christ. It calls for trusting scripture and leaving judgment to Christ.
The 2013 Homer Historical Society event runs Sunday July 28 at Blair Farm. Registration 9 am to noon, $10 per vehicle, spectators free.
