Selena Brown formerly of Marshall and Greg Beers formerly of Canton Michigan announce their engagement. The bride to be is Margi Rauth Brown and the late Michael Brown of Marshall. She works as operations manager at the Fairfield Marriott in Ann Arbor. The groom is Jenny and David Beers of Canton and a University of Michigan public safety and security sergeant. They met at Ferris State University and plan a fall wedding in October in Canton.

Bob and Patt Brown will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on July 4. They were married July 4, 1947 at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Battle Creek. The couple took a 10 day honeymoon to Niagara Falls and Canada. They have four children seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
