Cleanup underway from oil leak in Convis Two
A June leak from Omimex Energy Dunn 41 oil well in Convis Township near Bellevue Road and 12 1/2 Mile Road spilled about 4 000 gallons of oil and 20 000 gallons of brine on private property. DEQOversight and company crews are cleaning and monitoring within a 500 by 500 foot area with no current risks to nearby residents. Cleanup continues under DEQ supervision and local officials are kept informed.
