Rice named new manager of Calhoun County Fairgrounds
Jen Rice, new manager of Calhoun County Fairgrounds and Marshall Area Farmers Market, outlines plans for sponsorships, events, and a master plan to boost visibility. The winter market at the Henry Building runs Saturdays 9 am to noon through April, drawing about 250 patrons. Rice aims to expand youth entries, non livestock crafts, and local sourcing, while engaging service clubs and promoting community ties. An upcoming Feb 1 Celebrity Server Luncheon at Cornwell's Turkeyville USA benefits the fairgrounds and Agricultural & Industrial Society.
