Marshall District Library hosts health and nutrition program

Amanda Whitson of Marshalls Good Life Nutrition presents a free nutrition program at the Marshall District Library on Tuesday January 25 from 7 to 8 15 p m. The event offers tips for family wellness, a Veggie Hunt for children, a craft, snacks and beverages. Registration is required with MDL cardholders registering from January 11 and others from January 14.

Shack-a-thon draws attention to homelessness effort

Sara Raymond 17 from Ceresco and six friends staged a shack experience at Over Flow Church Urbandale to spotlight youth poverty while living in cardboard shelters for 12 years. They raised 1500 dollars for Habitat for Humanity used for house siding on a Jackson Street project.
