Taps & Tones Choir Chimes entertain Oaklawn visitors
Oaklawn Hospital welcomed members of the Taps & Tones Choir Chimes, a program by Johnsons founded in 2010 to bring arts to children. Directed by Latachia and Alvin Johnson, the group uses sturdy choir chimes and auditions, offering workshops and camps to build hand eye coordination, musical skills, and rhythm recognition. The couple, both music educators, described goals to broaden access, expand age groups, and grow summer programs. Call 269-282-1538 for details.
