Man Falls Through Ice At Rose Lake In Branch County
A 31 year old Coldwater man fell through ice at Rose Lake in Ovid Township. Residents improvised a rescue with a life preserver and marine rope, pulling him to safety before MSP trooper arrived. He was treated at Community Health Center in Coldwater and is expected to fully recover. Responding agencies included Branch County Sheriff’s Department Land Lake Fire Department LifeCare Ambulance and Underwater Recovery Unit.
