Changes announced for Marshall Recycling Center
Calhoun County announces Phase I changes to the Marshall Recycling Center located at the county road department. A staffed center modeled after Albion Recycling is planned later this year with paving and fencing for Phase II. During Phase I, all bins sit on one concrete pad with access through a walk-in gate. The center operates Tue Wed Thu 8 am to 5 pm with staff from the Public Health Department answering questions and guiding changes. The Solid Waste Program aims to reduce contamination and create cost effective recycling, moving toward high value commodities. The Phase I bin order begins closest to the gate with Newspaper, Mixed Paper, Cardboard.
