Students from Gordon Elementary third and fourth grades with teachers explored Wilder Creek Conservation Club during Valentine week. They observed how winter affects plant and animal habitats and integrated math science and language arts into the outdoor lesson, guided by dedicated educators.
Alma College released the Dean's List for the 2016 fall term. Local students Kilee DeBrabander and Charles Fales, Brooke Mason, Kelsey Postema, and Tierney are named for achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher with at least 13 credits. The college, founded in 1886, emphasizes small classes and individualized mentorship.
Bronson Battle Creek Volunteers offer five Memorial Fund scholarships for high school seniors pursuing human healthcare careers.
