Armed robbery reported at Emmett Township credit union
The Emmett Township Department of Public Safety and the FBI Kalamazoo Field Office investigate a Dec 20 armed robbery at American One Federal Credit Union located at 530 East Main Street. Officers arrived at about 10:30 a.m. and learned the suspect fled on foot toward River Oaks Apartments. A Springfield Public Safety canine tracked the area. the suspect may have fled to a nearby waiting vehicle. The robber demanded money with a note, no weapon seen, and left with an undetermined amount. No injuries reported. The report also includes a personal reminiscence about Chuck Christner and holiday figures.
