Marshall City considers bonds to fix water waste systems
At a Dec 20 work session Marshall officials discussed Water and Wastewater Rate Study findings by Mark Beauchamp of Utilities Financial Solutions. With revenue drops since 2004 and large industrial departures, a bond plan may be needed soon for wastewater, while water could delay issuances. Possible five year rate increases or front loaded first year with declines later were explored to fund capital projects.
