In Albion Letter Frames Blue Oval Subsidy Debate
A Marshall area reader argues the Ford Blue Oval battery plant brings outsized subsidies per job and questions long term value. The letter cites 700 000 per job, 41 600 annual wages, and 1 750 000 000 in subsidies, calling the deal the worst economic development of 2023 and noting potential future scale backs amid changes in the EV market. The writer urges caution toward taxpayer costs and long term Marshall impacts.
