Calhoun County approves 2020 budget with 2.6% spending rise
Calhoun County Commissioners approve the FY2020 budget with a $46,480,650 general fund in expenditures and a 5.3779 mill operating tax levy. All votes except District 2 Commissioner Rochelle Hatcher’s dissent. The plan boosts fund balance by $102,000 and adds a $400,000 contingency for mid‑year shortfalls.
