Lighthouse Village Park Donates Emergency Boxes in Homer
Lighthouse Village Park in Homer and Lighthouse Village church led by Rev. Ken Hansen donate 85 emergency boxes to Homer Fire and Police and Emergency response program. The boxes include soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, toys, pencils, hand sanitizer and crayons to aid displaced children and families. A donation ceremony with Homer Police is set for August 28 at 2 p.m. Contact Rev. Ken Hansen at 527 568 5701 for details.

The AAUW Book Sale returns as a Home Tour event at the Marshall District Library. It runs Saturday September 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday September 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Proceeds fund scholarships for worthy students.
