Home Tour follows Fountains' renovated historic residence
The Fountains remodeled their Marengo Township home from 2007 to 2008 using in house plans by Dave Fountains, a former contractor and current supervisor. They added a second floor with a loft and new rooms while preserving original headboard and flooring. The project, done largely with family and friends, cost about 25000 in materials and reveals a 1940s roof fire repair tied to Dave’s father. Antiques, including a family clock, adorn the interior for Home Tour visitors.
