City Council approves Ford BlueOval tax abatement plan
Marshall City Council discussed Industrial Facilities Tax incentives for Ford Motor Co and BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. The plan seeks a 12 year IFT to support a $3 billion facility, with projected real property value at $383 million and personal property at $900 million, aiming for $1.6 million annual tax revenue if finalized. Marshall Township would receive part of the revenue under PA 425 terms, while utilities would be extended under a master agreement. The council also approved ten other items and four special events at the Aug. 5 meeting.
