The Marshall City Council debated spending options for Fire Keepers Casino Local Revenue Sharing Board monies at a Monday meeting at Marshall House Apartments. It has received two disbursements totaling 111,232.58 dollars from the LRSB, 26,724.41 in 2009 and 84,508.17 in 2010, with Councilman Brent Williams urging tangible Marshall-wide projects.

Enbridge plans 3.4-acre river park in Marshall Twp

At the Marshall Township planning meeting on August 2 Enbridge outlined a 3.4-acre park beside the Kalamazoo River on 15 Mile Road south of A Drive. LHB landscape designer Mike Schroeder said they would improve river access after board feedback. See story on page 44.
