Kellogg Community College Foundation announces the Southwest Michigan Rehabilitation Foundation Scholarship for Physical Therapist Assistant students. An endowed gift of 100000 dollars funds a 10600 dollar annual scholarship for two year PTA students in the colleges service area. Local officials praise the partnership and urge donations to support student scholarships.

Rotary welcomes Amy Reimann and hears Teresa Allen speak

At the Albion Rotary meeting Amy Reimann director of development for Oaklawn Hospital was inducted as a member. Teresa Allen executive director of the Charitable Union spoke about serving Calhoun County families with clothing bedding and small items. Donations are accepted six days a week at 85 Calhoun St Battle Creek. The Charitable Union serves all of Calhoun County with biannual distribution events including Aug 16 at Marshall Opportunity School building Albion residents may donate that morning for distribution in Albion.
