Big Marsh Farm Conserved by Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy
Larry and Jerrilyn Holcomb protected 476 acres of Big Marsh Farm in Convis Township with a conservation easement funded by a Michigan DEQ nonpoint source grant. The land borders Bernard W. Baker Sanctuary and Ackley Creek, hosting migratory waterfowl and Sandhill cranes, with ongoing habitat improvements and invasive species control. A public Celebration Event is set for June 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.
