Calhoun ISD students receive Binda Foundation mini grant

Tresia Gillett of Calhoun Intermediate School District's Doris Klaussen Development Center earned a 70 grant from the Guido A and Elizabeth H Binda Foundation to buy an iPad Air 2 for use with the Unique Learning System. The device aids six to eight year old students with special needs including visual impairments to access leveled texts and interact with questions. The class is exploring a March Physical Science unit The Hot Hot Sun and soon will begin economics lessons focused on needs before wants and money concepts.
