A letter urging Marshall voters to place the land use issue on the November ballot. The writers warn of long term harms from council actions, including loss of oversight, increased traffic, light and noise pollution, and removing trees, and call for all taxpayers to have a vote to protect historic neighborhoods.
The annual Marshall Area Senior Fair Keeping It In Balance drew over 350 older adults and 62 vendor tables at Marshall Middle School during spring break week. Sponsored by the city of Marshall Oaklawn Hospital and Calhoun County Senior Services, the event showcased therapeutic drumming circles martial arts displays and midday turkey sandwiches. Organizing team included Oaklawn staff Robin Walling and others. sponsors and supporters ranged from the Marshall Community Foundation to the Albion Health Care Alliance. A sealed bid auction is held at a&c READER ADS MAINS MINI STORAGE 18771 Partello Rd Marshall. Units rented by J Kalisz C Mathiak II and M Allen contain personal and household items, furniture and an electric car. Bids accepted Mondays and Thursdays 9 to 4 with a noon deadline on Monday April 29.
