Binder Park Zoo Opens 41st Season With New Camps and Addax
Binder Park Zoo launches its 41st season on April 14 featuring the African Tented Camps with eight stilted tents and ADA accessible units for overnight Wild Africa experiences. New arrivals include Australian dingoes Yengo and Airlie, and two rare primate births, colobus monkey Usi and mangabey Najia. Four critically endangered addax antelope join the savanna, part of an AZA SSP effort amid deforestation and Bushmeat Crisis concerns. Events like Lemur Lap, Cheetah Chase 5k, Corks for Conservation, and Tour de Zoo are planned. Temperatures must reach 60 degrees for giraffes to be shown.
