Out of 500 eligible voters in the Bronze election, only 50 registered an opinion on establishing a three member commission. The measure passed by a 42 to 8 majority in the village established last year. Quebec population accounts for about 50 percent of Canada's total.
Fine Weather For Special Services At Ballinafad
Ballinafad Anniversary Sunday enjoyed clear fall weather as the churchyard was decorated with bouquets of Bladiell and other flowers. Rev J B Moore of Waterdown spoke on making the church the community’s center and each person’s unique duty. Rev Currey of Acton led the evening service with a Babel reference and urged taking God into one’s work, with the Milton Male Quartet adding two numbers and the choir performing. Capacity congregations filled both services.
