Holstein and Guernsey Dairy Shows Highlight Halton Week
At the Canadian National Exhibition dairy event Halton County showcased 38 Holsteins from four herds and multiple entries in junior and senior classes. Rosafe Farm Brampton led overall while J M Fraser of Streetsville topped the Holstein show with Spring Farm Fond Hope. County council urged purchase of a 400 acre block to aid water conservation and beaver dam mitigation, aligning with Halton Conservation Committee goals. Twilight meetings hosted by Scotsdale Farm and Twin Elms Farm engaged older breeders with demonstrations and showmanship clinics.
