A 1931 Plymouth coupe driven by Duncan Ellis of Rockwood bowled into a ditch on the Acton sideroad east of Knatchbull at 9 50 p m Friday August 24. He suffered deep lacerations to his left arm treated by Dr W G C Kenney of Acton. Passenger Elgin Cripps of Rockwood was uninjured.

Acton Streets To Get New Asphalt Surface

Pleasant family reunion as cousin visits from Canada
Mrs G W McHugh hosts a two day visit from her cousin Harry France and wife Marion of St John New Brunswick. They toured the States with friends Mr and Mrs Willard Armstrong on their way to the Canadian National Exhibition before returning via Montreal. Mrs McHugh had not seen her cousin for 21 years and did not know he was in Canada until his arrival. The reunion was a happy surprise after so many years.

Nassagaweya Township honored Pte. John Keith Robertson, the first Korean War casualty to return to Ontario, with a gold watch presented by Reeve J. E. Ellenton. Arthur Padbury and over 200 residents attended the Brookville Hall ceremony. Robertson, wounded in Korea, was discharged and plans to work in Sudbury. He earlier served with the Princess Pats and was treated at Sunnybrook Hospital. A dance and refreshments followed the event.

Car Rollover Injury Report From Acton Accident
A 1934 Chrysler sedan rolled over on the second concession east of Acton last Friday August 24 at 10 p m. Passenger Don Anderson suffered cuts and mirror injuries while driver Earl McCoy of Willow Street Acton escaped with no serious harm. Passenger Jack Pink was uninjured. Damage estimated between 75 and 100 dollars.

Acton Man Injured In Sunday Car Accident
Leonard Ripps of Acton suffered cuts to his mouth and above his right eye when the car he rode in went into a ditch on No 7 highway near Acton. The crash happened about 12 30 am as driver John Airdie of Acton said another vehicle crowded them from the road. Damaged parts included the right front fender wheel bumper and hood of a 1935 Dodge, estimated at 150 dollars.
