The Imperial authorities plan December exchanges of about seven hundred mar ines and sailors between Halifax and Vancouver to test Canada as a military corridor. This first formal recognition of the Canadian Pacific for Imperial use could elevate the route to world attention as a British eastward highway and rival to the Suez Canal. The transport eastward will include personnel finishing foreign duty.
