Nurses at stalemate after Halton county council meeting
After a 75 minute session between Halton Public Health nurses and the county, a settlement remained elusive. Nurses, who resigned from their positions on Sept 12, urged the county to advertise for nursing staff with preference to former employees. Flora Hesson, a nurse spokesman, urged resolution and reestablishment of services with the same nurses, as Lloyd Sharpe of the Ontario Registered Nurses Association provided guidance.
