Stair collapse injures three at funeral in Rumley
After a funeral at Rumley Funeral Home on Sunday, an outside wooden stairway collapsed causing three women to be injured. Mrs. A. T. Moore of Campbellville suffered a broken ankle and was treated at Milton Private hospital. Mrs. Chris Britton and Mrs. Cal McIntyre were bruised with possible internal injuries and observed at Guelph General hospital. they were later released and recovering at home. About 400 attended the service for Mrs. J. McMillan.

Walk Torn Up Was First Laid in Acton
Work crews this week completed breaking up and removing the sidewalk on the north side of Mill Street from Willow to Frederick Streets to lay a new wider walk. The section being removed was the first concrete sidewalk in Acton laid shortly after the turn of the century with a plate in the cement at the Mill Frederick Streets corner recording the date and contractor.

Arson Suspected in Scout Hall Fire Pair at Acton

Three local accidents on Mill Street were reported by police. Wm J McIntyre of Acton was nicked by a shunting freight train causing little damage and no injuries. Rosas Robertson Acton and Vic Peycha taxi collision near Station Hotel caused minor damage. John R Dick Kitchener and Gordon Holmes Adolf acted in a Wil low Street collision with about 500 damage to the Dick car and minor truck damage.
