Why Bessie Barrett Finds Thanksgiving at Kirke Home
In a tale of hardship and pride, elderly Godfrey Kirke's miserly rule over his granddaughter Bessie leads to tension and worry on Thanksgiving Eve. Bessie runs away but returns with news of her safe return and her uncle Robert, who has come back from sea. Robert reunites family and plans a future with Bessie, while Kirke learns a needed lesson about generosity and love.
