Campbellville Triumphs In Intermed C Final Opener
Campbellville defeated Sunderland 18 to 7 in the first game of the CBA Intermediate C finals on October 1 at Sunderland. Campbellville totaled 18 hits led by Stan Henderson two homers and a single and Earl Cairns with a double and two singles. Sunderland’s Beaton and Farrell homered triple and multiple hits, but Campbellville staged a huge fifth inning stringing together nine runs to pull away. Sunderland pitchers Schell and O Burne worked seven innings, while Campbellville’s Stan Henderson pitched six and one third and Roberts finished.
