Pupils and teachers of Acton Continuation School held a successful dance and social evening last Friday night. Proceeds totaling 84 dollars 62 cents went to the Acton and District Red Cross Society. The event featured music by Huils Orchestra and included two War Savings Stamps prizes.

He lives with his invalid mother at the Acton family home this winter rather than at East Aurora New York. The issue lists contributors including W J Cameron Ford Motor Co William Hard and Wendell Willkie. Moore began in journalism with The Free Press and still visits the office to “smell the ink.”

Early Snow Storm Heaviest in Years for November
The district faced its heaviest November snowstorm in years. A late afternoon eastern gale dumped heavy snowfall, foot plus drifts, leaving sidewalks blocked and cars stuck on highways. By noon a highway was cleared and town dug out, as residents noted the storm resembled a February blizzard.
