Interesting Programme At Acton Continuation School Literary Society
The second meeting of the Acton Continuation School Literary Society Friday showed strong school spirit. Elvin Gamble presided, Hazel Coxe read the secretary’s report, and students enjoyed songs, piano solos, a saxophone piece, a humorous dialogue, and a new dance number. Rev. R E Zimmerman praised the program, and the gathering closed with O Canada and the National Anthem.

Major Thomas William Fox Dies at 74 in Trafalgar Township
Major Fox son of the late Dr and Mrs Fox of Hornby died at his Trafalgar Township home last Wednesday in his 75th year. He served on Trafalgar Township Council for years and attended Camp Niagara with the Lorne Rifles later the 20th Halton Rifles. A Progressive and Anglican, he belonged to St Stephen's Church Milton Lodge A M and the Canadian Order of Foresters. His wife was treated at Toronto General Hospital before his death. Survived by a son in Milton a daughter in Omagh and two others at home.
