The undersigned expresses sincere thanks for the kindness and sympathy shown to her and her household during the illness and death of her beloved sister. The great attention given will be remembered gratefully by Miss Kitty Littley.

Knox Church hosts Tom Sykes lectures November 26 on Christian Democracy and The Soul of Britain with Mr Piper singing, tickets at Hassard's Drug Store.
The United Church at Churchill celebrated a combined anniversary and reopening over Sunday and Monday. The church interior now features hardwood pews redecorated walls and ceilings birch flooring new lighting a new pulpit and platform a new organ and heating. Dr T Albert Moore of Toronto delivered the Sunday sermon and urged steadfastness in faith and temperance. Rev G H Knighton of Guelph preached Sunday evening and urged opposition to government control in Ontario. A social tea Monday evening followed with varied musical performances and remarks by local clergy. The project cost about 1200 with generous church support enabling the improvements.
Frank McCarthy James Garrity Leslie Thompson and Alfred David son of Caledon pled guilty to illegally possessing liquor before Magistrate Moore in Brampton. McCarthy fined 200 dollars plus costs. Garrity Thompson and Davidson 50 dollars plus costs each. A motor collision at Guelph and John Streets Georgetown led to dismissal with costs shared equally by drivers after mutual agreement. Three children implicated in an Armenian boy's accidental shooting faced examination, pledges required not to handle firearms before 18. Two intoxicated individuals pled guilty with minimal penalties due to first offense.
Halton Union met in Milton with delegates from all municipalities to decide election strategy. They unanimously endorsed Harry M. Pettit the progressive candidate and pledged active countywide organization. Pettit thanked the group and supported enforcing the Ontario Temperance Act.

The cement pavement on Main Street from the Canadian National Railway tracks to the Toronto Sarnia Highway near the CN crossing was completed Tuesday afternoon. King Construction Company supervised by Mr. Thornton and Municipal Engineer Smith oversaw a smooth build using calcium chloride and modern machinery. The three year maintenance bond stands at 10 000, with openings planned after favorable weather.
In Milton on November 12 1926 the inquest into Edith Wilsons death concluded that Edith was struck by Jeremiah Bells motor car and that Bells driving did not involve fault or excessive speed. Seven witnesses including two Milton doctors testified and the jury returned a verdict exonerating Bells conduct.
The Acton Citizens' Band held its annual banquet and officer elections in the Band Hall on Monday evening. Officers elected include Honorary President J. Cy Ei Bandmaster Amos Mason Assistant Bandmaster N. K F. Moore President Rudolph Spitelvoge Vice President Ray Agnew Secretary-Treasurer G. A. Ditts Property Custodian Campbell Currie Caretaker Reesor Librarian Charita Landsborough. The auditors reported the band financially healthy and able to meet all obligations. A banquet followed with bandsmen guests and council members joining in refreshments and song.
Nova Scotia Ayrshire cow Betsey Wylie owned by Samuel C Crockett of Middle Musquodoboit made a world record in a 366 day test with 1103 pounds of butter fat from 21805 pounds of milk. Halton apples win big at Toronto Royal Winter Fair with W L Smith of Burlington taking top honors in Spy McIntosh and King classes. Aged citizen George Dilla bruised but not fractured after a fall in Toronto. Rev Dr Moore tours Newfoundland and visits Moorecroft and Toronto before heading island wide to support church funds. Isaac Francis of Toronto visits grave of Mr Francia in Fairview Cemetery after recovering from hospital stay. Knox Church Acton to host Tom Sykes lecture with tickets available from elders Hassard’s Drug Store. Inquest into Luigi Claparo death finds he died from injuries after falling from a gasoline car near Acton. no blame assigned.
