Halton County Council approved by laws regulating fencing woodlots with eight strand wire and minimum tree counts, while banned labor costs. A second by law set limits on sign boards gasoline pumps and fences along county roads. A third reading was given for rules on building setbacks from roads and a new by law to ban high powered rifles in the county.

A new foot operated rug making machine is ported in The Friggujal Post. It can be affixed to any table and will weave very complicated designs. North Wales makers claim it is the fastest in the world and easy to operate. It is said to be economical in wooden use.

Memorial Window Honors Mr and Mrs Warren
A memorial window was unveiled at Walmer Road Baptist Church in honor of the late Mr and Mrs R D Warren. The event was led by F E A Warren and Master David Warren with the donor E A Warren, a son of the couple. Both were active in Walmer Road and wider church work. Mr Warren lived in Acton Georgetown and Toronto and edited the Georgetown Herald for a period.

Sunday services marked Acton United Church anniversary with Rev Dr K W Avison as guest speaker and Mrs W Maxwell as guest soloist. The event celebrated a three Sunday ramp up after a new chancel and auditorium alteration. New Commercial Room At Acton School Nearing Readiness
North Halton High School District Board approved payments totaling 10288 dollars with 12188 for capital outlay. Mrs PL Dearing will join as an additional teacher at Milton school when new rooms are ready, likely end of term. Remembrance Service in Acton Honors Fallen Across Two World Wars
Acton observances included a parade led by the Acton Legion Boys and Girls Band and standard bearers from various groups. Australian wool production for 1917 18 reached an expenditure equivalent to 500 million dollars, up 203 million from the prior season. Global sales totaled 3.8 million bales. Unscoured wool averaged 52.9 cents per pound, up 61 percent from 1916 17, while scoured wool averaged 70.6 cents, up 27 percent.

Knox Presbyterian Church WM S held its annual meeting at Mrs Jany's home on Armistice Day November 11. Mrs Ulow presided. prayer led by Mrs Blaw Miss Ruby Clark and Mrs Buchahan. An invitation from Boston Presbyterian Church WMSS to attend a tank offering meeting. A church calendar was shown. Mrs Blow spoke on Formosa and missionary work. Halton Junior Farmers sweep district contests
Halton Junior Farmers won both district Public Speaking and Amateur competition at Waterdown High School on Monday evening. Misa Joan Somerville of Acton Junior Farmers captured the Public Speaking award and will represent Halton in upcoming Zone competitions at Barton United Church. Milton Junior Farmers won the amateur entertainment contest. Halton clubs showed a strong performance.
