Fiftieth Anniversary Knox W M S Celebrated at Knox Church
The Knox Women's Missionary Society observed its fiftieth anniversary at the church on Wednesday afternoon with about one hundred ladies in attendance. Mrs W P Gamble of Guelph presided, guests from Campbellville Eden Mills Rockwood and St Andrew's Guelph attended, and Mrs Bennie It gave a historical sketch. Mrs Gamble spoke on life as a relay race, urging continuous work through generations. A dainty lunch with 1887 and 1937 cake followed the program.

Dairy Building Fire Destroys Ontario Reformatory Barn
Flames swept the dry wood and straw in the main dairy building at the Ontario Reformatory destroying a section and causing heavy losses not yet estimated. A 100 head Holstein herd was removed safely as guards and inmates fought the blaze for over two hours. The fire began in a loft at the southeastern end and burned around 6 o clock during supper hour.
