Frederick C Wells Dies After Jump From Truck Near Milton
Frederick C Wells age seventy was fatally injured Saturday night when he jumped from a moving truck about a mile north of Milton. John Randall of Milton found him and rushed him to Milton Hospital where he died soon after admission. Coroner Dr G E Syer and Constable John Kravely investigated. Funeral held Tuesday from Turner's funeral parlour with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend J B Moore officiated.

Two Remanded On Serious Charge in Milton Court
In police court at Milton last week Charles Ferner and Jack Perkins both of Nassagaweya were remanded one week with bail set at $5,000 each. They face robbery with violence against Edward Cates who is in Hamilton General Hospital in serious condition after an axe attack. Marshal Hilson of Milton Heights was fined $10 or 10 days for vagrancy. Magistrate W. Woodliffe presided.

Acton School drew hundreds of parents and friends for Parents Night with exhibits of pupil work. Public School rooms showed pupils at desks while both school buildings opened to the public and staff were praised for their efforts.
