Halton Progressives chose H. M. Pettit Freeman as their candidate at a Milton convention attended by county members and dry supporters. Pettit, a Nelson Township farmer and Shorthorn breeder, pledged strong support for the Ontario Temperance Act and accepted the nomination with a brief speech.
A large gathering of representatives from the Women's Missionary Societies of Guelph Presbytery met at the United Church in Georgetown. Rev Dr Dickie gave greetings. Mrs Craw reported progress and future aims. Mrs Lanceley of Toronto spoke on merged societies and shared strong insights on consecration and responsibilities. A resolution supported Ontario Temperance Act. social noon meal followed. Acton delegation listed among attendees.

Bert D Angeli DAngelo a Hamilton pedlar faces two manslaughter charges and five counts of administering poison over wood alcohol poisonings linked to alcohol locking in Ontario last summer. He was committed on five counts in Oakville Police Court by Magistrate J H Shields. Four deaths involved Oakville residents George Gill James Johnston William Muaybee and Olive Guertin of Toronto and one illness case in Oakville Patricke recovered.
A Peel County association meeting endorsed H. W. J. Taylor as Progressive fusion candidate for the provincial election, pledging support for temperance principles. Col. T. L. Kennedy, a former Conservative nominee, was invited but did not attend. Kennedy had been nominated at a prior Conservative meeting.

The council thanked the chamber for cooperation on widening Mill and Main Street corner and urged continued action on the Acton exchange expansion.
