The Canadian government erected a soldier's monument over Sergt. W. J. Stuckey's grave in Fairview Cemetery. The neat stone marks the fallen soldier's final resting place amid local tributes and remembrance.
At last night’s meeting commissioners approved motions to transfer 1000 from the Waterworks Account to the General Account. The minutes record payments to vendors, discussions on building outlets, welfare board thanks, and plans to secure transformers for Y M C A service.

George Herbert Tyndall aged 80 of Chaplin Crescent Toronto was found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in his car behind his garage door Monday night. He headed MacLean Publications advertising and shaped ads for MacLean's Magazine and Chatelaine. Survived by wife Kathleen P. Tyndall, his mother and four sisters.

The John Milton Chapter IOD E met at Mrs Gowland’s home with Regent Mrs Palmer Book presiding. Miss Mabel Stockley, renowned Canadian ad woman, spoke on advertising’s reach from ancient banners to today. The talk covered printing origins, the cost shift, advertising’s role in media revenue, and agency protections. A social hour followed with music and tickets.
A Brampton coroner's jury found no blame for Harold E Tyler of Toronto or Robert Peters of New Toronto in the death of Helen Bonner six. The child was struck by Tyler's car after she darted from behind Peters' vehicle as Peters stopped to let five children exit on the No 7 Highway in Norval October 3. The verdict labeled the death an unavoidable accident and admonished Peters for not warning the child.

The Acton parish hall hosted a Halloween social with Limehouse Orchestra and costume judging awarding Flora Sayers Best Dressed Lady Fred Anthony Best Dressed Gent Jackie Stewart Best Dressed Child Bob Marshall Arthur McKeown. The Knox Young People Guild held a later event with ghost walk games and a hot dog lunch. Miss S Bruce received a box of kisses from Mr Bennie before the Mizpah benediction.
