Campbell Lodge Hosts Ladies Night Social at Stewart Town Hall
Campbell Lodge AF and AM hosted a ladies night at Stewart town hall drawing 100 plus guests for a turkey dinner by Ashgrove Women's Institute. W.M. Roy Coulter led, with toasts by E. Mahon and Murray McPhail. Kerr Watson of St. Clair Lodge greeted, quartet from Galt performed, and progressive euchre awarded many prizes to local women including Marjorie McPhail and Grace Readhead.

Esteemed Acton citizen Mrs William Kenney dies at 90
Esteemed Acton resident Elizabeth Matilda Blair Kenney died peacefully at home on Church Street in Acton in her 90th year after a long residence in the town. Born near Kilbride, she was the widow of William Kenney who died twelve years ago. Survived by children and family including Miss Nora Kenney of Guelph and Miss Frances Kenney at home, she was a Knox church member and active in church duties. Funeral held privately at home with Rev Ro H Armstrong, burial at Fairview cemetery.

Campbellville opened the 1958 season with a 5 3 victory over the Oakville Oaks as Jack Roberts pitched all nine innings, allowing five hits and eight strikeouts after Oakville starter Rex Bailey held Campbellville hitless through five. In a later Halton County game Campbellville defeated Port Credit 15 10 behind timely hits and a bullpen effort by McMahon and Frelze.
