Council awarded tenders totaling 118 477 74 for disposal plant and pumping station equipment. The by-law on dogs at large failed to pass a motion to amend it at once and will be revisited next meeting. Council discussed guaranteeing additional water for a new process and agreed to cooperate on pumping hours but not a constant supply until new sources are found. Street improvements included park concessions to Scout and Guide Mothers and plans to subdivide property with road construction and farm-land reassessment. Building and subdivision issues were reviewed and hydro pole removal and street lighting permissions granted pending waivers. Police detachment report approved with a request to hire a corporal and increase costs. The clerk was instructed to contact the Commissioner to arrange Mason’s takeover with existing constables.

St Alban's to Build New Parish Hall This Summer
At a 4 attendance meeting St Alban's Church approves construction of a new parish hall this summer costing about 10000 funded over two years. A volunteer campaign led by Dr FOG Oakes and a building committee of wardens and local members will promote the drive to complete a two story hall between the church and rectory, connected by a vestry.

Two youths convicted after Milton B&E robbery
Two young men were arrested and jailed following a break in at Art Brown's motor parts shop on Seventh Line Salver Creek. Airdrie and Johnston pled guilty before Magistrate Kenneth Mc Langdon. Airdrie also admitted breaking into Peter Lafleur's home and stealing a radio. They were remanded to May 31 for sentencing. Crown Attorney Nioya D. Dingls prosecuted.
