The Inter-denominational committee of Acton and district held a Fireside at Churchill United Church last Sunday evening. Mrs Lenny McArthur chaired the Churchill Young People’s group and Mrs. Gibb led a song service with Miss Ethel Franklin on piano. Christina Lamb led prayer, Joyce Greer read scripture, and Doug Davidson outlined the committee’s plans. A film titled The Pay-Off about alcohol and driving was shown before lunch served by the church group. The next Fireside will be in June at the Baptist Church.

High records set by Jersey cows in Cangols during the third week of April in Halton County led by Walvis Standaing Mary Ind bred and owned by Hans Kroles and Mr Hrtle Lavine at Oakville.
