Milton women injured in truck car collision near Queen Elizabeth Highway
Reginald Butcher, 49, of Rockwood died after a heavy truck skidded on a rain slick and struck the oncoming English car on the Second Line near the Woodland Orchard farm. Tina Tonelli 19 Milton and Aurora Marcus 19 RR 3 Milton were hurt. Both were treated at Oakville Memorial Hospital. An inquest was ordered.

Truck and Gasoline Fire Leveled at Crewson's Corners
A three ton Toronto Daily Star truck carrying 80 gallons of gasoline exploded after catching fire at Crewson's Corners on No. 7 highway Saturday afternoon. Driver Stan Tiley of Toronto flagged down the blaze but his extinguisher failed. Acton and Rockwood fire brigades worked to contain the inferno for over half an hour, with a WO gallon tank aiding the water attack.

Acton High School Cadets Hold Sixth Annual Inspection
