Urge Start of Program to Seek Better County Roads
Halton County Council urged a program to build a permanent road surface on county roads. Reeve Allen of Georgetown pressed for a county road committee plan, citing a Georgetown road that cost far too much to repair yearly and noting a $64 half mile primer coat treatment that proved durable under heavy traffic. The debate touched grant projections, road quality, and calls to take over a county road as a continuation of Highway 25.
